Simmons School of Management Featured in the Financial Times

Simmons School of Management was featured in the Financial Times article “An MBA with the glass ceiling in its sites.” The article discusses the School of Management and its mission to educate women for power and principled leadership. In the article Dean Deborah Merrill–Sands is quoted on the importance of having an MBA program designed specifically for women. She said,“Gender dynamics are real and they do impact your career and your opportunities. If you don't understand them, you can be sidelined and end up paying a serious cost in terms of how your career progresses. This knowledge is a key piece of what you need to have in your toolkit in order to succeed in business as a woman.”

Simmons School of Management Entrepreneurship Program Named One of Nation's Best Entrepreneur & Princeton Review Survey 2,300 Schools; Simmons Ranks Among Top 25.

The graduate entrepreneurship program at the Simmons School of Management in Boston has been named one of the 25 best programs in the nation by Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review, which jointly surveyed more than 2,300 schools. The Simmons entrepreneurship program was ranked 22nd on the list of top 25 programs nationally in the graduate program category.

NPR "Tell Me More" — September 23, 2008

On September 23, 2008 Dean Deborah Merrill–Sands participated in a roundtable discussion on NPR's “Tell Me More.” The discussion focused on how MBA programs are responding to the growing economic crisis and how faculty and students are dealing with the news. Also participating in the conversation were the Deans of George Washington University School of Business and Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry.
