Fall is in the air and there’s a lot going on at the Simmons School of Management. In September, in addition to the start of the new school year, we hosted a highly successful Strategic Leadership for Women program as well as a fantastic presentation by Patricia Fili-Krushel, EVP of Administration for Time Warner. I always learn so much from listening to Pat; if you were unable to join us, you can download a podcast of the session here.
In October we learned that the Princeton Review has ranked us number one among business schools in the category “Greatest Opportunities for Women”! We’re delighted with this external, highly respected validation that we are #1 in our chosen niche. The SOM has also just been named one of the top 15 socially responsible programs in the world by the Aspen Institute. More information on both rankings can be found here.
November brings a wonderful event we are co-sponsoring with the Commonwealth Institute: Rosabeth Moss Kanter, the Arbuckle Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School will be speaking about her new book: Supercorp: How Vanguard Companies Create Innovation, Profits, Growth and Social Good. For more information or to register, please click here.
In December the Center for Gender in Organizations speaker series will feature Leslie Perlow, the Konosuke Matsushita Professor of Leadership at Harvard Business School speaking on Creating Predictable Time Off in a 24/7 World. For more information or to register, please click here.
We hope you will consider joining us for one or both of these events.
