"Good Morning America" Features Simmons School of Management Faculty Member Debbie Kolb
On November 10, 2007 ABC’s “Good Morning America” featured Simmons School of Management professor Deborah Kolb as part of a feature segment on women and negotiating.
The piece was about the culturally-induced hesitancy that many women have to negotiate the price of negotiable consumer goods such as cars or furniture. In the segment, Professor Deborah Kolb provided a crash course on negotiations to a stay-at-home mother of two, Beth Johnson. Beth then uses Professor Kolb’s coaching to negotiate at multiple stores for a bedroom set.

BOSTON (October 22, 2007) The Simmons School of Management in Boston is one of the top 100 business schools in the world in the integration of social and environmental issues into its MBA program, according to the Aspen Institute’s 2007-2008 edition of “Beyond Grey Pinstripes,” a biennial survey and alternative ranking of business schools. The Simmons School of Management was ranked 32 on the Institute’s Global Top 100 Schools.
