Well, let’s start with an introduction. My name is LaShondra and I will be a first year student at Simmons in the fall. I’m from Atlanta, Georgia and I’ve lived here my entire life. I am a little bit nervous about going to Boston, but I am so excited. I don’t really know what to expect even after all of the stories I’ve been told, all the questions that have been answered for me, and all the preparation I’ve received. Right now, I’m in the process of getting all my things packed up and trying to figure out how to arrange everything so that it all fits in the limited amount of suitcases I’m allowed to take on the plane. Other than shopping for things I need and packing it all up, I’ve been trying to spend as much time as I can with friends and family. As the time for me to leave draws closer and closer, I find myself getting even more emotional. It’s going to be really hard for me to leave all the people that I love so much, but I’m definitely looking forward to everything that’s in store for me. New friends, new “family”, new adventures, new opportunities, and a brand new city that exactly 1,116.24 miles away from my house. With that said, I will be sure to update you as much as possible as I take on college life and everything that comes with it. JOIN ME FOR THE RIDE!!!
