It's slowly warming up...
Welcome to Summer Term! So, I’m sorry that I have been terrible at updating my blog! Jen and I had a fabulous trip across Europe, below is where we went, if you have questions I’d love an email. We had an amazing adventure and it was so cool to experience such different cultures, taste some of the best food in the world and walk down streets filled with the history of thousands of years.
March 21st: depart London for Lisbon, arrive Lisbon
March 22nd: enjoy Lisbon, take overnight train to Madrid
March 23rd-25th: enjoy Madrid (we saw a bull fight on the 25th which made my Madrid dreams come true!) then overnight train to Barcelona
March 26th-28th: enjoy Barcelona, find out French rail is on strike for three days, fly to Milan and spend the night
March 29th: enjoy Milan, evening train to Rome, sleepover at Jen’s friend’s flat
March 30-31st: enjoy Rome, overnight train to Bern, Switzerland
April 1st: enjoy Bern, train up Swiss Alps, train to Zurich for the evening
April 2nd: train to Vienna, enjoy afternoon/evening in Vienna
April 3rd: train to Salzburg, Sound of Music tour
April 4th: day trip to Germany, enjoy Salzburg, overnight train to Paris
April 5th: Versailles day trip, train to Bayeaux, France to sleep
April 6th: Normandy half day trip, train back to Paris, train back to London
Thus was our trip! Trains are such an amazing way to travel, very efficient and the sleeper couchettes were really awesome.
I enjoyed some slack time at home, caught up to speed on LOST and did basically nothing… We helped celebrate a friend's birthday here in London and then my Mom came to visit with a friend from April 15th-22nd. We had a great time, exploring and enjoying the city, eating well and celebrating Easter. My favorite was Tuesday when we bought theatre tickets, strolled around Covent Garden, visited Greenwich then ate the traditional fish ‘n chips before going to see Mary Poppins! It was a full day and it was fabulous. The show was so good too, I cannot even begin to tell you about every awesome detail. Thursday is also worth noting, we went on a day trip to Bath and got to meet up with my cousin who is studying there. It was a really relaxing place to spend the day and we had an adorable English guided tour at the Roman Baths. The accent never gets old...
This past week I have had some revision classes, lectures and lots of attempts at studying. Mostly I am really excited about no longer having exams and I am looking forward to a few more travels in June before I enjoy a relaxed but seemingly short last summer at home. Erin is coming to visit me on Friday for ten days (in which we are going to Paris for about 3 1/2) and I am really looking forward to it. Alas, exams are still coming...so I'm off to do a little reading and then go to church. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)
This picture is from last week. I took a short break from studying to venture down to Ben and Jerry's with some friends for a free ice cream cone. I was adorned with this hat while I waited to be served.
P.S. I can't believe tomorrow is May! AHHH! Where does the time go?!

Spring is coming!
My Mom is here visiting me!! :) I will update more soon (about my Eurotrip, etc) but wanted to let you all know that I am alive and well. Summer term begins in only six days...it's a little stressful only because I haven't really begun to study and exams for the entire year are coming up in about a month.
