responsibilities

President
  • Attend Leadership Day each fall (this year is Oct. 29, 2005).
  • Write one “President’s Letter” to your class a year.
  • Keep in regular contact with the Office of Alumnae/i Relations.
  • Report contact information changes that you learn about.
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of any class committee, except the nominating committee.
Vice President
  • Attend Leadership Day each fall (this year is Oct. 29, 2005).
  • Assist the Class President with letters to classmates.
  • Serve as Reunion Chair in your reunion year, to plan your class event to celebrate five years out.
Treasurer
  • Attend Leadership Day each fall (this year is Oct. 29, 2005).
  • Decide whether dues are necessary to conduct the business of your class (for postage, events, publications, etc.).
  • Establish appropriate amount to help support non-College mailings and reunion events.
  • Send class dues notices with the President’s Letter.
  • Keep records of dues payments made by individual class members.
Secretary
  • Attend Leadership Day each fall (this year is Oct. 29, 2005).
  • Keep accurate minutes of all class meetings and send them to your fellow class officers.
  • Send news requests to classmates on a regular basis.
  • Mail Class Notes, to be published in the Simmons Review, to the Office of Alumnae/i Relations.
Class Agent
  • Attend Leadership Day each fall (this year is Oct. 29, 2005).
  • Work closely with Annual Giving to increase participation in Simmons Fund within your class.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities for your class with a special focus on Reunion giving.
