Greetings!
Summer is winding down and the fall semester is upon us, with many exciting events scheduled for students and alumnae/i alike. The campus has been full of activity these past few months as construction crews tear apart the parking lot in preparation for our grassy quad, and work continues on the other half of the library.
Both the Office of Alumnae/i Relations and the Alumnae Association are pleased to welcome to campus the incoming Class of 2010! Several members of the Association’s Executive Board were on hand Sunday, September 3 at the residence campus to distribute “Future Simmons Alumna” flip-flop sandals to the new undergraduate class.
President Susan C. Scrimshaw has been at the College for nearly two months now, and already is beginning to make the rounds meeting with various alumnae/i groups and Simmons colleagues. Everyone at Simmons — including our Office of Alumnae/i Relations — is eagerly looking forward to President Scrimshaw’s new vision for the College.
On behalf of the Simmons community, I would like to offer a heartfelt “thank you” to all of our volunteers for their ongoing support. Your involvement and partnership is critical to our success!
