10 Years and 5 DOLLS

This past week, The Scott/Ross Center celebrated its' 10th Year Anniversary with a wonderful reception that included former S/RC student leaders, alumnae/i, faculty, staff, community partners and many others associated with the College and the S/RC. It was an amazing evening with many exciting surprises and new and old connections made.

Emily Scott Pottruck '78 with the support of David Pottruck and Arlene Ross Gross'47, led the 5 Decades of London Learners (5 Dolls) committee, made up of 30 alumna and S/RC staff in a special surprise initiative honoring Steve London and his five decades of promoting community service at Simmons. The 5 Dolls created a photo book of memories for Steve and also promoted the S/RC 10th Anniversary Campaign that generated funds for the Steve London Scholarship and S/RC Current Programming. There were two challenge grants for the 5Dolls a $1 to $2 match and an additional $25,000 if they obtained 300 donors. For more information and to participate through the end of the month
