Many faculty members at Simmons engage in career-related research at one time or another. Whether it is to learn more about employment market trends, to discover occupational options and career paths for students entering their field, to understand internship and/or full-time entry-level job opportunities for students, or to prepare to present on a career panel on in-demand or growth occupations in their area, the needs are many.
Beatley Library has an extensive collection of both print and online career resources to assist in these research efforts and has been recognized by The Princeton Review in this area. You can find tools for investigating your interests, explore professions, learn about salaries, graduate schools, and more. In addition to the dedicated print collection, located adjacent to the circulation desk, the Library's online resources offer a series of in-depth guides for career research by discipline and other career-related topics. Access the Library's online Career Resources here.
In addition to the Library's career resources, librarians are available to provide personalized research assistance to faculty for exploring careers, researching companies and industries, investigating graduate schools, fellowship and funding sources, and any other career-related research needs.
