CEC Services

The CEC provides a variety of services to Simmons graduate students from CAS, SLIS, SNHS, and SSW (Note: SOM graduate students are supported by the SOM Career Services Office).

Career Coaching

Learning how to manage your career over a lifetime is a very important companion to your graduate education. Statistics show that, on average, over your work life you may change jobs over ten times and change careers three to five times. The process you learn during your time at Simmons will be invaluable for your future career planning and decision-making.

Recruiting

When it comes to recruiting and employers there are numerous options for Simmons alumnae/i, many of which are online and can be accessed remotely.

Navigating Career Transitions

Whether you are facing unemployment, experiencing work dissatisfaction, or ready to make a change, the CEC is here to support and guide you in your next career move.

Career Resources

Career Resources includes access to the extensive print collection and online career collections in Beatley Library; the CEC site's resources and tools, including the CEC job bank, CareerLink; as well as additional selected off-site resources beyond Simmons.

Alumnae/i Connections

An extremely valuable career resource for graduate students is the Simmons alumnae/i population. By speaking with alumnae/i you can learn about career choices, career paths, get an inside look at the current job market and your field, contact them for informational interviews, and more.
