Amongst other New Year's resolutions, one that every student should make for herself is to find a part-time job or internship in the new year. An on-campus job can provide both needed cash and excellent work experience, and an internship is a must-have on current entry-level resumes.
The Career Education Center provides two online job boards to find employment opportunities. For on-campus jobs and work-study opportunities (both on- and off-campus), check out the CA$H website. After September, January is the second best time of year to look for on-campus and work-study employment, with many on-campus departments and off-campus non-profits looking to hire at the start of the semester.
If you are looking for an internship or off-campus part-time employment, take a look at CareerLink. There are still several spring semester internship opportunities available, and it's never too early to start thinking about summer internships.
Having trouble landing a part-time job or internship? Not sure what to include in your resume? Need to brush up your interviewing skills? Contact the CEC to make an appointment with one of our career coaches. We look forward to working with you in 2013!
