The agency provides nearly 90 programs and services throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Their services respond to the needs of the poor and working poor, provide supportive services to children and families, and assist refugees and immigrants as they become active participants in their communities. Last year, Catholic Charities served over 200,000 people in need of all faiths. Catholic Charities has over 500 employees in different fields including child care, education, human services and nonprofit administration. Employer Information Table: Meddeas

Meddeas (Multilingual Education Development & Support) will be coming to the Simmons campus on October 28 to recruit students from all majors for their Language Assistant Program in Spain. Becoming a Language Assistant in a Spanish school for one year will give you the opportunity to gain teaching experience while reducing the risks, receive valuable additional training and live a multicultural unique experience. Stop by the Fens Lobby on October 30 to meet with a career counselor from the US Army. They have over 152 different job training/career opportunities. They are seeking anyone who is in searching of part-time/full-time opportunities with the Army. In return, they can offer financial assistance to help pay for college, further your education/paid job training, and help with loan repayment.

Employer Information Table: Global Vision International

Global Vision International is a not-for-profit, UK-based organization that was founded in 1997 to provide support to international charities, non-profits and governmental agencies through volunteering opportunities, 6-month internship programs and direct funding. GVI is a recognized leader in international volunteering and has sent over 10,000 volunteers overseas to aid critical environmental and humanitarian programs. They offer 150 programs in community development, ocean and wildlife conservation and English teaching. Their internships are open to all majors and require no specific skills set—interns receive all training on the field. Stop by their table in the Main College Building 1st Floor Lobby on November 5th to find out more!
