Namaste! Yoga club is one of the most popular Fit at Simmons clubs! Yoga club meets two to three times weekly at the Sports Center on the residence campus and is led by Simmons student and long-time yoga practitioner Amy Thornton. Bringing your own yoga mat is encouraged, but not necessary. Yoga club is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to experienced.

Student Leader, Fit at SImmons Yoga Club
Amy Thornton is a junior studying nutrition and entrepreneurship. She has been experimenting with all things yoga for seven years. In August of 2013, shortly before leaving for a semester in India, Amy completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. She enjoys integrating strong, energetic poses into her vinyasa-flow based classes. In this safe yet challenging environment Amy creates space for personal growth on and off the mat. Her goal is to empower others to heal by creating heightened awareness in the mind and body.
