Spooky Doors at Simmons and Morse!

Each month, Resident Advisors (RA) have the responsibility to host programs in the residence halls. The Simmons and Morse RAs decided to host a Halloween Party this year, which would include a door decorating contest, trick or treating and a photo booth. It was a well-planned program by the Simmons and Morse RAs (if I do say so myself) but what made this Halloween Party a ridiculous success were the Simmons and Morse residents! Since they were so over the top and awesome, I thought it was only appropriate to share with you some of the amazing door decorations and costumes of participating students.

There is never a dull moment when you live on the residence campus. :)

A Haunting On Duty Night!

Halloween RA

RA's Kelsey and Emily waited to make a video to show what an average October night on duty was like at Simmons. Everything was going well... until strange things started to happen. Of course none of the buildings at the Simmons Residential are actually haunted. On a completely unrelated note.... has anyone seen Kelsey or Emily?

Mary Ying is a freshman undergraduate student at Simmons College. As the season changes, Mary reflects on her first few months as a Simmons student.

The breeze is soft and the air is brisk as I pass by the prestigious doors of Winsor School, and trace my way along the gates that border the Res campus on Pilgrim side.

Golden foliage lines the edge of this back road in soft piles on the cool, cement gray sidewalks. I bend over and brush my hand against them as I stroll by. A familiar earthy fragrance wafts up and brushes against my face.

Last Saturday, Simmons College played host to GrooveBoston as during its fourth stop on their Vitality Tour. With enough lights, bass, and strobes to land a plane with, GrooveBoston rocked the Holmes Sports center with an audience of over 400 College of the Fenway students. Armed with an arsenal of effects, the DJs of Groove Boston created a mesmerizing show focused on overloading the senses and exploring the way in which music is consumed.
