Looking for a roommate to share a lovely apartment on a tree-lined street in the Forrest Hills neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. Hoping to rent 1 bedroom + office to one person. No couples please! Details: - Available August 1st - Free laundry facilities in the basement - Utilities not included, each roommate will split the gas and electric bills You get: - One large sunny room with bay windows AND an office with a large closet - Use of the rest of the newly renovated apartment which includes a nice sized living room, large eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, and huge pantry, 1 shared bathroom, a front porch AND a large back porch, and a beautiful, lush garden which the landlord keeps up. Me: I'm a 30 year old, female, grad student, studying to be a social worker. I'm an extravert and enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people. I'm past the "going out till all hours" part of my life and would much prefer going out to dinner or for a drink with friends or cooking and having friends over. I'm really looking forward to dinner parties on the back porch this summer, over looking the beautiful garden. I enjoy being outdoors and active: I'm a runner and like doing yoga and hiking. I'm socially/environmentally conscious and advocate for social justice in both my work and personal life. School and my field placement keep me very busy so I won't be home all that often. It would be ideal to find a roommate that has her own thing going on but is open to hanging out or sharing a meal sometimes. You: 26+ Respectful, tidy with a positive attitude! Low key - not looking to bring home the party Have no pets - I love animals but landlord's rules Location: - Forrest Hills neighborhood of JP - 1 block from Forrest Hills Station (Orange Line, Needham Commuter Rail, tons of buses) - 2 blocks from the beautiful Arboretum - 1 block from Forrest Hills neighborhood restaurants, bars and coffee shops - 5 minute walk to the new Harvest Co-op grocery store - 15 minute walk to JP Center - short bike ride to Jamaica Pond - short bus, bike or drive to Longwood medical area, Fenway schools, BU, Harvard, and MIT - Plentiful street parking in front of the apartment
