At Simmons, we are serious about keeping active and getting involved. With our wide variety of student groups on campus—from Amnesty International to the a-capella stylings of the Simmons Sirens, nine varsity athletics teams, and a unique affilation with our neighboring schools through Colleges of the Fenway—there's something for everyone. And if there's something missing, you can start a new group and make it happen!
Student Organizations are vital to creating the vibrant environment of Simmons. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the Simmons community in ways that meet Simmons students' diverse interests and needs. We encourage each student to get involved with at least one organization during her time at Simmons. Students can find out about how to join organizations by attending the organization far in the beginning of the Fall Semester or stopping by the Office of Student Leadership and Activities. Check out the group info for meeting days and times and don't hesitate to contact the group if you have questions.

Student Groups and Events
Want to get involved in the Simmons community? Student groups is where it all happens! There are groups in many areas, including:
- Arts and Culture
- Performing Arts
- Social Justice
- Media and Publications
- Academic Liaisons
Academic liaisons serve as the link between the student life and academic life, planning educational and social functions to bring students and faculty together. Liaisons members can be interested in a particular discipline or field of study, whether or not they are majoring in the subject. It's a great way to extend your field of experience!
- Class Councils
- Hall Councils
Hall council members are elected to help govern each residence hall by creating policies, advocating for hall members with staff, and organizing social and recreational programs.
- ... and more!
Become a Leader
Simmons is a great place to learn, grow, and develop your leadership skills—invaluable skills you will use throughout your life and career, whether or not you become a CEO or President of the United States.
Participating in our community is a great way to get valuable job experience, meet people, and feel good about giving back. The Scott/Ross Center for Community Service at Simmons helps our students do just that.
Religious and Multicultural Activities
With about a quarter of Simmons students identifying as African American, Latina, Asian, Native American, and multi-racial, as well as 40 states and 39 countries represented, Simmons is serious about supporting religious, cultural, racial, gender, and ability diversity. We have a variety of student groups that support this diversity, as well as the Office of Spiritual Life and Multicultural Affairs program.
