Women in Public Service Project Institute 2014

Simmons College, Mount Holyoke College and Smith College were proud to co-host "Reconstructing Societies in the Wake of Conflict: Transitional Justice and Economic Development," a two-week Institute from May 25-June 6, 2014. The Institute brought together emerging women leaders, primarily from Asia, who are working to rebuild their communities and promote sustainable economic livelihoods following political violence and human rights violations.

We are very proud of Zara Ali '15, Mallarie Charbonneau '15, Ashli Edwards '16 and Ellen Garnett '17 who were chosen as Simmons student ambassadors for this exciting event. These students experienced the institute first-hand, working directly with the Simmons, Mount Holyoke and Smith faculty and staff members on logistics and programming needs for the duration of the two-week program.

You can experience all the excitement of the Institute with the social media interactions captured below!
