Summer Stories: Cynthia Kangeyo '15

Welcome back to Summer Stories! This series chronicles the great things our students are doing over summer vacation.
Meet Cynthia Kangeyo, a International Relations and Political Science major from the class of 2015. Cynthia is spending her summer in Madrid learning Spanish. We had the chance to ask her a few questions!
Where are you spending your summer? What are you doing?
I'm spending my summer in Madrid taking Spanish courses at Antonio de Nebrija University. I'm planning trips to Morocco and Belgium while I'm here!

What's the most rewarding part of your experience so far?
Exploring Madrid and immersing myself in its culture as much as I can. I've seen a bullfight at Plaza de Toro, attended Sunday mass at the Catherdral of Madrid known as "Caterdal de la Almudena" and learned how to cook "paella," one of Spain's most popular dishes.

What most excites you about coming back to Simmons in the fall?
Finishing up my senior year so I can do more traveling. But hopefully this time I'll be getting paid to do it!
