Simmons starts new academic year with inspiration

Convocation marks the beginning of a new academic year, and despite yesterday's rainy weather, the celebration was once again inspiring. The Class of 2012 was recognized for their academic achievements, and the Class of 2015 was officially welcomed to Simmons.

College of Arts and Sciences Dean Renee T. White gave some great advice to our students:

"Ask yourself, 'How can I use what I know to make things better for others?' at home wherever you come from, at Simmons and beyond here. And then lastly, remember that while you stand on the shoulders of giants, someday others will stand on your shoulders. So, get ready."

Good luck to all our students as we begin a new year. We look forward to seeing their great achievements.
