Scholarship and Service aims to bring community together

This year, Simmons is joining together two of its annual events, the Undergraduate Conference and Global Service Day, into one day-long event, Scholarship and Service.
The inaugural event aims to bring Simmons' students, faculty, staff, and alumni together to honor the achievements of its undergraduate students and to celebrate its commitment to community service.
Scholarship and Service will be held Friday, April 29, and there are several participation opportunities for the entire community.
The Events:
7th Annual Undergraduate Conference
Come check out the scholarship and creativity of Simmons undergraduates across all majors and programs. The Undergraduate Conference gives students an opportunity to display and discuss their projects, research, case studies, and more!
It will be held in the Linda K. Paresky Conference center beginning at 10 a.m. For more info and to see all room assignments and participant lists, visit the Simmons Undergraduate Conference website or contact terry.muller@simmons.edu.
Global Service Day
Opportunities for community service will be available both on and off campus. For example, you may host students from the Trinity Middle School on their tours of the College, supervise arts and crafts sessions, provide volunteer assistance with the Scott/Ross Community Partners and many more.
In addition, alumnae/i from all over the world will be sharing their stories of community service on Simmons Radio and with written stories displayed on the LCD screens around campus.
For a complete list of community service opportunities, and to sign up to volunteer, visit http://simmonsglobalserviceday.eventbrite.com/ Register today because spots are filling up fast.
Scholarship and Service promises to be a great way for the Simmons community to learn more about its students, research, and how you can become involved with the Scott/Ross Center. Don't miss out!
