The "Intern Queen" visits Simmons

Lauren Berger is the Intern Queen and she is coming to Simmons to talk to students about the value of internships and the successes and challenges of pursuing a career as a young entrepreneur.
As CEO of Intern Queen Inc., Lauren has made a name for herself by offering students advice on how to find and apply for internships that'll help them to make the most out of their college education.
Not only does Lauren talk the talk, but she walks the walk: she participated in 15 (!) internships during her four years of college (hence the name "Intern Queen") and she's number 5 on Business Week Magazine's list of "Young Entrepreneurs Under 25".
The Management Liaison asked Lauren to come to campus because of her internship expertise, and because they believe she represents the values of Simmons' Management program.
"The Management program continually expresses the need to start internships early and often," says Management Liaison President Alyssa Markowitz '11. "We invited Lauren to campus because we feel she amplifies Simmons' mission to educate their women on careers after graduation."
Hear the Intern Queen speak on Thursday, February 24 at 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. in M501.
