Head Volleyball Coach, Athletics
Jason Conetta is entering his second season as Head Volleyball Coach at Simmons College. The Sharks finished the 2007 season with an 8-14 overall record; 4-9 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The 2008 season is looking strong, with the young team returning all but two starters from 2007.
Conetta was a standout Soccer and Volleyball player at Rivier College. In 2006, Rivier Volleyball reached the Men's Division III Final Four in 2006, and Conetta was named the Endicott Invitational MVP the same year. In 2002, Conetta earned New England Conference Volleyball Association Second-Team honors. Injury forced Conetta to sit out for a year, and he served as a player-assistant coach during the interim.
A native of Boston, MA, Conetta earned a bachelors degree in Human Development from Rivier in 2006. He currently resides in Newton Highlands, MA, and is taking courses toward his M.Ed. in School Administration. Conetta is also the head coach for the Regis College Men's Volleyball program.
Michele Naughton

Assistant Volleyball Coach, Athletics
Michele Naughton is entering her first season as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Simmons College. Naughton was the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Shepherd University for the 2005-06 season, and has been a Head Volleyball Coach with the Andover Pumas Junior Olympic Club from 2006-2008. She is excited to bring this experience with her to the Sharks Volleyball program.
As a player, Naughton was a setter and defensive specialist at Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA. In 2003, she was instrumental in helping the team earn third place at the Woman's College Invitational in Atlanta, GA. Naughton also served as both a captain and a Student Athlete Mentor to her teammates during the 2003 season.
A native of Gaithersburg, MD, Naughton earned a bachelors degree in Psychology from Randolph-Macon in 2003, and is currently taking courses towards her M.Ed. in Counseling with a specialization in Sport Psychology. Naughton works in the Educational Resource Center at Boston University. She is currently a resident of Arlington, MA.
