Jason Conetta

Head Volleyball Coach, Athletics  

 Jason Conetta is entering his third season as Head Volleyball Coach at Simmons College. The Sharks finished the 2008 season with a 13-11 overall record- the most wins in a regular season in Simmons Volleyball history. Simmons entered the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament as the seventh seed- the program's highest ranking.

Conetta was a standout Soccer and Volleyball player at Rivier College. In 2006, Rivier Volleyball reached the Men's Division III Final Four in 2006, and Conetta was named the Endicott Invitational MVP the same year. In 2002, Conetta earned New England Conference Volleyball Association Second-Team honors. Injury forced Conetta to sit out for a year, and he served as a player-assistant coach during the interim.

A native of Boston, MA, Conetta earned a bachelors degree in Human Development from Rivier in 2006. Conetta is also the Head Coach for the Regis College Men's Volleyball program, which turned varsity after one year of club status under Conetta's guidance. Conetta is a High School Mathematics teacher at Randolph High School, teaching Algebra, Geometry and Honors Geometry, and is taking courses at Emmanuel College toward his M.Ed. in School Administration. He lives in Newton Highlands, MA with his fiance Molly.
