Jason Conetta was named Simmons College volleyball coach on Feb. 21, 2007. He will direct all aspects of the program, including game and practice preparation, as well as recruiting and fundraising.
Conetta was a standout player at Rivier College, which reached the men's Division III Final Four in 2006. He earned New England Conference Volleyball Association second-team honors in 2002 and was named Endicott Invitational most valuable player last season. Conetta, who sat out a year due to injury, served as a player-assistant coach during that time.
A native of Boston, Mass., Conetta earned a bachelor's degree in human development form Rivier in 2006
