Conetta's Take: The other half of the Dynamic Duo, Candyce is the other captain for the Simmons volleyball team. Candyce will be looked upon to set the pace for the offense this year, as an outside hitter, receiving the majority of the passes during serve receive, and putting down as many balls as she can. She has played just about every position, and finally has found her most comfortable position as an outside hitter. Candyce led the team in 2007 with attacks and will be looked to repeat this year as well.
2007: Played in 73 games ... led Simmons with 157 kills ... complied 41 service aces and 42 digs ... also registered 25 total blocks ... reached double digit kills in seven matches ... tallied a team and season high 20 kills at Becker on Sept. 18 ... member of the Simmons College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
2006: Appeared in all 22 matches and played in 71 games ... ranked fourth with 1.04 kills per game ... was tied for third with 42 service aces ... led team with 29 blocks ... recorded a season high 18 digs and four blocks against Daniel Webster on Sept. 23.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year varsity letterwinner at Brookline High School ... helped team to 32-4 record and Bay State League Title as a junior ... served as the school yearbook editor and was a member of the steering committee.
