Lynn Gugliuzza returns for her third season as Assistant/Goalkeeping Coach for Simmons Soccer. As goalkeeping coach, she will design and implement all keeper-specific training sessions. She will also assist in team training, game day management and recruiting. “Lynn has made a significant contribution to the Simmons soccer program, says Head Coach Mastrogiacomo. “She provides an opportunity for our goalkeepers to receive functional training and constructive feedback specific to the goalkeeper position. She is an excellent motivator and demands the best from our student-athletes.”
Gugliuzza played for the University of New Hampshire from 2003-2006. During this time she earned the Student-Athlete Award (2006), Player’s Award (2006), and was an America East Academic Honor Roll member throughout her entire collegiate career.
A native of Kenmore, N.Y., Gugliuzza graduated from UNH in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Sport Studies, and a minor in Business Administration. She most recently completed a Masters in Education with a Coaching specialization at Boston University in June 2008.
Gugliuzza holds an NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Diploma in addition to an NSCAA National Diploma. She received her USSF "B” license during the summer of 2010. Prior to Simmons, Gugliuzza worked with the women’s soccer team at Boston University as a Volunteer Assistant. She is currently a State Development Coach for Massachusetts Youth Soccer and serves as an assistant coach for the Massachusetts State Olympic Development Program for girls under-17. She resides in Somerville, Mass.
