Three Simmons Softball Players Honored by NFCA

Simmons Softball players Dannie Szabo, Ann Talarico and Sammi Letizio were given National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors for the 2008 season. Third baseman Dannie Szabo (White Plains, NY) was named to the 2008 NFCA's First-Team All-Region. Talarico (Ware, MA), at shortstop, and Letizio (Windham, NH), at outfield, were named to the Third-Team All-Region in the At-Large category.

Szabo Named 2008 ECAC New England Softball Rookie of the Year

Simmons College freshman third baseman Dannie Szabo (White Plains, N.Y.) was named the 2008 ECAC Division III New England Softball Rookie of the Year and to the 2008 ECAC Division III New England All-Star First Team as announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference on Wednesday.

Softball Picks Up Two Wins Against JWU In GNAC Double Header

The Simmons softball team picked up a pair of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contests against Johnson & Wales at Pierce Field on Saturday afternoon. Simmons posted an 8-2 win in the opener and finished the day with an 8-0 victory in the nightcap.
