Alicia M. Roane was appointed Head Athletic Trainer at Simmons College in August 2007. She oversees the healthcare and strength and conditioning of all of the Sharks' intercollegiate athletic teams.
Prior to Simmons, Roane served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana from 2004 to 2007. While with the Fighting Irish, she worked directly with the nationally ranked Men's Swimming/Diving team, the Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams, and aided in the coverage of all 26 intercollegiate programs.
Roane earned a Master's degree in Sport's Medicine from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia in August 2004. As a graduate assistant at GSU she was the primary athletic trainer for Women's Soccer, Softball, and Men's and Women's Track and Field. Roane also served as a student athletic trainer at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated magna cum laude in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Health Education.
Alicia has worked as a Community Outreach Worker for both the Morgan State University and the University of Maryland's Public Health Departments over the years. She plans on continuing her love of community health work here in the Boston area.
Demetria Sprinkling
Assistant Athletic Trainer, Athletics

Demetria Sprinkling is begining her first year with the Simmons College Athletics Staff as Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Prior to her new role at Simmons, Demetria worked as a Physical Therapist Aide at the New England Baptist Hospital's Spine Program.
Before coming to Boston, Demetria was Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Auburn High School Trojans in Auburn, Washington. After leaving her home town and heading east, she stopped in Georgia to except a position as graduate assistant for the Lakers of Clayton State University. Once she graduated, she took the Assistant Athletic Trainer position for the Georgia State Panthers Men's Basketball Team.
Sprinkling earned her Bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance from George Fox Univeristy in Oregon, and her Master's degree in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University. She is currently a personal trainer and group fitness director at Fitcorp.
