Title: Head Volleyball Coach

Email: jason.conetta@simmons.edu

Jason Conetta is entering his fourth season as Head Volleyball Coach at Simmons College. The Sharks finished the 2009 season with a 13-16 overall record- tying the most wins in a regular season in Simmons Volleyball history (previously achieved in 2008). Simmons entered the 2009 Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament as the sixth seed- the program's highest ranking since the conference moved to an eight-team tournament format. Under his guidance, sophomore Meaghan Flynn was named to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team in 2008 and 2009, and as a freshman in 2008 earned the program’s first GNAC Rookie of the Year award.

Conetta was a standout Soccer and Volleyball player at Rivier College. In 2006, Rivier Volleyball reached the Men's Division III Final Four in 2006, and Conetta was named the Endicott Invitational MVP the same year. In 2002, Conetta earned New England Conference Volleyball Association Second-Team honors. Injury forced Conetta to sit out for a year, and he served as a player-assistant coach during the interim.

Conetta is also the Head Coach for the Regis College Men's Volleyball team. Conetta coached the team in its first year of varsity status, helping the program to their first-ever regular season victory and conference victory after moving up from club status.

A native of Boston, MA, Conetta earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Rivier and a Master of Education in School Administration from Emmanuel College. Conetta is a High School Algebra, Geometry and Honors Geometry teacher at Randolph High School. He lives in Rockland, Mass. with his wife Molly.
