Cadets Outshoot Sharks in Final Seconds For Conference Win

NORTHFIELD, VT. – The Norwich University Cadets hit their final three free throws to overturn a late deficit and pick up a key Great Northeast Athletic Conference win against the Simmons Sharks Tuesday evening. The Cadets, improving to 10-13 overall and 5-6 in the league, trailed visiting Simmons (3-18, 1-10 GNAC) 62-46 with under six minutes left. From that point, the Maroon and Gold brought their home crowd inside Andrews Gymnasium to its feet with a 22-3 run to end the game with a 68-65 win.

Mass. -- Lindsay Karle scored 22 points to lead the Albertus Magnus Falcons to victory over the Simmons Sharks 68-49 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at the Holmes Sports Center Wednesday evening. January 28, 2012 BOSTON, Mass. – In a balanced offensive effort, the Emmanuel College women’s basketball team defeat Simmons College, 69-56, Saturday afternoon at the Jean Yawkey Center in Boston, Mass. The Saints, who never trailed in the contest, improve to 13-6 overall and remain unbeaten in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference at 7-0 while the Sharks fall to 3-15 and 1-7 in GNAC play.

Monks Overcome Sharks 72-38

January 26, 2012 BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Basketball fell to the undefeated Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Monks 72-38 Thursday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. The Monks, led tonight by Danyelle Shufelt with 15 points, move to 12-6 overall and 6-0 in the GNAC.
