48 Simmons College student-athletes were recognized as Great Northeast Athletic
Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference selections for the 2007-08 season.
“I am thrilled to learn of the 48 Simmons student-athletes receiving the Great Northeast Athletic
Conference Academic All Conference Honors. And I am not surprised.” said Simmons College Director of
Athletics Ali Kantor. “Our athletes are leaders both in
the classroom and on the fields. They are hard workers, disciplined, committed to achieve and set their
sights high. We are very proud of these 48 student-athletes.”
To be eligible as an Academic All-GNAC selection,
student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher.
Athletes must have also participated in a sport in which the GNAC
sponsors a championship event.
The Sharks soccer and swimming programs each had 14
student-athletes selected.
