Our most commonly asked questions are answered below.

When can I register?
Registration will open in March 2019.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?
Yes. If you register online, you will receive an email confirmation. If you register by mail or phone, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address that you have specified. We will also send you a confirmation email a few days before Reunion with logistics and any other updates.

What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee helps to cover a small percentage of Simmons costs of Reunion including, but not limited to, parking, refreshments, staffing, and administration costs. By paying the registration fee, you will have access to many of the weekend's events, but on-campus housing, certain meals, and some off-campus events may cost extra.

When will I receive my Boston Pops, museum tours, etc. tickets?
All tickets will be given to you when you arrive on campus to check-in.

Can I choose who I sit with at the Pops?
Yes, during the registration process you may give seating requests. We try to accommodate mutual requests.

Where do I note a roommate request when I register?
You will be prompted to write your roommate selection or neighbor preferences. We will try to meet your requests. Please note we assign housing on a first-come first-serve basis. 

What if I have special dietary concerns?
Please note these restrictions on your registration form under the dietary/food allergy section. You may also call 800-831-4284 and we will make a note on your registration for you. 

I'm a member of Half Century Club - what do I pay for; what does my spouse/guest pay for?
The Half Century Club includes all alumnae/i who graduated from Simmons 50+ years ago. Certain parts of Reunion Weekend are offered for free or at a reduced price for members of the Half Century Club. More information is available in your registration brochure or on your class specific registration page. Spouses and guests are asked to pay full rates for all Reunion activities.

Payments and Refunds

Do I include payment for my Saturday Night Class Event in my overall registration payment or make out a separate check?
Please include the payment for your Saturday Night Class Event in your overall registration payment.

Who should checks be made out to?
All checks should be made out to Simmons University.

Do you accept credit card payments?
Yes - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are all accepted.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?
If you need to change or cancel your registration, please contact the Office of Alumnae/i Engagement at 800-831-4284. Please note that registration fees, special tours, and Pops tickets are non-refundable. We are unable to process any refunds for cancellations made after May 18, 2019.

Arrival and Parking

Where should I go when I arrive at Simmons?
Check-In will be located in the lobby of the School of Management Building, located on the Academic Campus. The Simmons garage entrance is off Avenue Louis Pasteur.

If using GPS, use the address 78 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston which is located next to the Boston Latin School on Avenue Louis Pasteur.

If you are staying on campus, you will be directed to the shuttle bus which will take you directly to the Residence Campus to check into your dorm room, receive your swipe pass and key for your room.

Check-In will open Thursday, May 30 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Check-in hours for Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Concierge will be available Sunday, June 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

If you will be arriving outside of these hours, you must notify the Office of Alumnae/i Engagement in advance at 800-831-4284.

Where can I park on campus? 
Parking is available throughout Reunion Weekend. When entering the garage, pull a ticket from the ticket dispenser; this will be the ticket you will use to exit as well.

Is parking free? 
Yes. You have unlimited access to the garage at no charge until Sunday.

Is handicapped parking available? 
Yes.If you require handicapped parking, please include this in the "special requests" section of the registration form. Designated handicapped parking is marked in the garage.

Can I park at the residence campus? 

Can I drop my luggage/hospitality suite items at the residence hall before parking my car?
No. Parking is not available at the Residence Campus.

Can I receive assistance with my luggage?
Staff members will be available to help with your luggage when you arrive. The shuttle bus will transport luggage between the Academic Campus and Residence Campus.

Making a Gift

How do I give to Simmons in honor of my Reunion?
Any gift to Simmons that you make during your Reunion year counts towards your class’s Reunion giving totals. The Reunion year is defined as the fiscal year in which your Reunion takes place. For Reunion 2019, this means gifts between July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 will count towards your class’s giving totals.

Make your gift today on our online giving page, or by calling us at 800-831-4284. You may also make a gift during Reunion Weekend. Please ask at check-in for more information.

How do I know that my gift will count towards my class totals?
You do not have to make any special notation in your gift in order for it to count. As long as the gift is made in your name, and the gift is made during the fiscal year in which your Reunion takes place, we will automatically connect it back to your class year.

Please note that while all gifts in Fiscal Year 2019 count, at Reunion we will celebrate the class giving totals and participation rates as of that date. So don’t wait until the end of the year – whether you plan to attend Reunion or not – make an impact by giving before Reunion starts on May 31.

Getting Around

Does Simmons provide transportation from Logan Airport to campus?
No. Transportation is not provided by Simmons from or to Logan Airport.

Public Transportation:
Please check the MBTA website and use their trip planner.

By Taxi or Rideshare (Uber, Lyft):
Please ask the driver to drop you off at 78 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston. The entrance to the Simmons parking lot is located next to Boston Latin School. Look for the Simmons Reunion sign. When you turn at the sign and into the driveway, you will reach the back of the School of Management & Academic Building, where check-in is located. Your driver will be able to pull a complimentary ticket from the machine and use the same ticket to exit on the opposite side of the driveway.

For the Residence Campus, please use the address 54 Pilgrim Road.

When and how often do the on-campus shuttles run? Where are the stops?
A shuttle bus will run continuously all during Reunion weekend between the parking lots of the School of Management Building and the Residence Campus on Pilgrim Road.

Class Events

What is my Class event? 
Each Reunion class holds their own Saturday night event at a different location, on or off campus. This is a special time for classmates to reconnect and celebrate. Guests are welcome at class events. All class events are scheduled for 6:30-10:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Not all events include a full dinner, so please review yours carefully.

Where is my Class event being held?
Class event information is available on the Event Schedule and on your class specific Registration page.

Do I include payment for my Class Event in my overall registration payment or make out a separate check?
Please include the payment for your Class Event in your overall registration payment.


Can I choose my roommate in the dorms?
Yes, during the registration process, you will be prompted to write your roommate selection or neighbor preferences. We will try to meet your requests. Please note we assign housing on a first-come first-serve basis.

What residence hall will I stay in?

We will confirm your dorm and room assignment upon arrival. Typically these dorms are used:

Evans Hall
Smith Hall
Arnold Hall

May I check in earlier than the official check-in period?
Unfortunately no. The official check-in time begins Thursday afternoon beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Can I change my room assignment?
Only if there is something wrong with your room assignment upon arrival.

What time is check out?
Sunday before 11:00 a.m. We ask that you adhere to, and be respectful of this time.

What is in a room? What do I need to bring?
Each room is supplied with fresh linens, a pillow, a light blanket, a small towel, a bathroom cup, and a face cloth. You may bring additional blankets or towels if you wish. All residence halls have overhead lighting.

Are children allowed in the residence halls?
The residence halls are a “festive” atmosphere, especially in the evenings, which may not be appropriate for children. If you are planning for your children to stay in the residence halls with you, please contact us so we can discuss guidelines and accommodations.

Is childcare offered over Reunion weekend?

Can my spouse/guest stay in the same room as me?
Yes - many residence hall rooms contain two single beds. To request a roommate, place your guest's name in the roommate section of the registration form, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Are there single rooms available?
Yes, there are some single rooms in the dorms. If you prefer a single room, please list this on the registration form under "special requests". We will do our best to accommodate all special requests.

Are there separate bathroom facilities in the residence halls for men?
No. Evans Hall has ensuite bathrooms, and the other residence halls have shared bathrooms available on each floor. All bathrooms are unisex for the weekend. There will be signs to let you know if the bathroom is occupied by a man, woman or vacant. Please alter the door sign accordingly during the weekend.

Is there air conditioning?
All residence halls are air conditioned and is controlled centrally, however within each room, turning the air controls off/on in your room would be the best way to control the air. There are also a limited number of fans available for use. If you are driving to Reunion (and the forecast for weather is hot), we suggest that you bring a small fan for your room.

I am a person with a physical disability - can I have a first floor room?
Yes, please include this request in the "special requests" section on the registration form. We will be happy to accommodate you.

Which of the dorms have elevators?
Evans, Smith and Arnold Halls all have elevators. While the dorms have elevators that are fully accessible, please let us know if you have any requests or concerns and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I use the internet on campus?
Wi-fi is complimentary all weekend on both the Residence Campus and Academic Campus by signing into the Simmons Wifi Network and entering your contact information when prompted. There will also be a limited amount of computers available for use on the Residence Campus.

Are there phones in the rooms?
There are no phones in the dorm rooms.

Is there going to be security on the Residence Campus for the weekend?
Campus security will be present on the residence campus throughout the entire weekend. In case of an emergency you can contact Public Safety by calling (617) 521- 1111. For all non-emergency needs, please call (617) 521-1112.

What happens if I lose my swipe pass and/or key?
There will be someone on call during Reunion to assist with any lost keys/swipe passes. This information will be provided at check-in. Please note that there is a $50 fee for lost keys and a $25 fee for lost swipe cards.

Can I smoke in my room?
Absolutely not. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings, and on both the residence and academic campuses. Simmons University is a smoke-free environment.

Will I have access to cooking facilities?
All residence halls have kitchens/lounges which Reunion attendees may use. Your class may have a reserved kitchen/lounge space, so please review the materials provided upon your arrival.

Will my room have a refrigerator?
No. Shared refrigerators are available in the dorm lounges.

Will there be a place to store valuables?
Your most valuable items should be with you at all times, however you can feel free to leave your valuables in your room at your own discretion.

Can I bring my pet?
No. Pets are not allowed in the residence halls, except registered service animals.

Will I have access to the gym?

Who's Attending?

Once Reunion registration opens, you will be able to see a list of all alumnae/i who have registered to attend. You will be able to search by name to find a specific individual, or search by class year to find all classmates who have registered thus far.
