Executive Board Members 2015-2016

COO – Tiffany Hogan '03SM

Tiffany is currently the Associate Director of Employer Services for the MIT Sloan School of Management, bringing valuable higher education experience to her role on the SOMAA Board. She has had over 15 years of experience in various sectors of management including Duke University and TJX Companies prior to her role at MIT.

In the COO role, Tiffany will lead the board through the recruiting process, in project management efforts and the annual retreat.

Secretary – Kim Riedell '09SM
Kim is currently the SVP of Global Product Management for Digilant, a programmatic advertising technology company headquartered in Boston. Over the past 20 years Kim has held executive management roles in product management, client relationship management, sales, and marketing. While honing her career she was able to complete her MBA at Simmons School of Management with honors. Kim has been on the Simmons School of Management Alumni Board as an Associate Member for the past year. Kim’s prior board experience includes two years on an elected industry board, the Performance Marketing Association. While on this board she served as a general member for one year representing the industry and her company, Commission Junction, and for an additional year as board secretary.
Engagement Chair – Clayelle Wolf '15SM

Clayelle is a recent graduate of the SOM (Dec ’14). She is a new transplant to San Francisco, works at Salesforce.com, and is looking forward to amplifying Simmons engagement, especially in the Bay Area community. Clayelle has maintained several marketing, product, and consulting roles throughout her career and worked as a statistics tutor while completing her MBA.

Fundraising Chair – Susan Abell '95SM
Currently, Susan is the Principal Strategist for her consulting company, Kengele Marketing Consulting, which creates and implements strategic marketing plans for non-profits and small businesses. She has spent 25 years as a marketing strategist and tactician for non-profits including American Management Association, Boston Harbor Islands national park and an academic library membership organization. She is looking forward to be able to use her communications and fundraising experience to give back to the School of Management through participation on the Alumnae Association Board.
Marketing & Communications Chair – Alison McClearn ’10SM
Alison McClearn is an Account Executive at Comcast Spotlight, Boston. In this role, she focuses on business development, providing strategic marketing and advertising solutions to clients, and cultivating those relationships to ensure client retention. She has applied these skills to organizations across a wide range of industries (finance to healthcare to insurance and beverage and beyond). Additionally, she had the role of Marketing Chair for the Ally Foundation from 2008-2010, during which time she executed a multi-media marketing campaign for their charity event to help end sexual violence in the United States. 

Prior to Comcast, she was an Account Executive at WHDH NBC and WMJX Magic 106.7FM. Alison’s current clients at Comcast Spotlight include Digital Federal Credit Union, Cumberland Farms, Arbella Insurance, WGBH, Lahey Clinic, FX, MTV, Fox Television, Food Network, and Sundance Channel.
Professional Development & Network Chair – Shantell Smith ’13SM
Shantell Smith has four years of experience working with board members while holding the position of Treasurer for The Boston Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association and the position of Vice Chair Membership for the Young Black Women’s Society. Each position has allowed Shantell to lead committees and to educate the external community to each organization’s offerings. She received her MBA from Simmons College School of Management in Entrepreneurship in 2013.
Associate Member – Jennifer Dold '03GS

Jen has close to 20 years of diverse marketing and communications experience in industries ranging from consumer products and high-tech to financial services. She has worked with top-name consumer brands including Bose Corporation, TomTom, and Bank of America. Jen works with organizations to develop strategic marketing initiatives that drive sales, brand advocacy and market share. Jen received her masters in communications management from Simmons in 2003 and has an undergraduate degree in English from St. Lawrence University.

Associate Member – Amy Hurley '03SM
Amy is a 2003 Simmons SOM MBA graduate who is currently an Operations Program Leader within the Health & Medical Management department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. She has been at BCBSMA for over 6 years working on process improvement and project management for department and corporate strategy. Amy has been working in Healthcare for over 18 years, starting out as a clinical occupational therapist in a Boston hospital.
Associate Member – Joanne Morelock ’14SM
Joanne has been working a Market Consultant in the In Vitro Diagnostic industry at Boston Biomedical Consultants since she graduated from Simmons SOM in 2014. She specializes in point-of-care diagnostic systems in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, conducting market research and analysis. Joanne has had prior careers as a mental health clinician and wilderness guide, and is passionate about women transitioning powerfully throughout their lives and careers.
Associate Member – Carol Parker '87SM
Carol has an extensive background in marketing research. She most recently held roles of Research Scientist and Product Manager at the NPD Group, Inc. There she determined optimal research methodologies and launched numerous ongoing research programs in the U.S. and globally. Prior to this, she held the position of COO at STS Market Research, where she created and managed a consumer research panel for the apparel industry, and oversaw all operational and financial aspects of the company. Carol is currently transitioning to the arts non-profit sector, and has recently earned a Certificate in Museum Studies at Tufts University.
