Anna Bognolo '15LS, President

Anna Bognolo '15LS, Vice President/President Elect, is the Director of Library at the Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts, where she also oversees the school's archive. Anna has a broad range of library science-related interests including social justice, outreach, and access and preservation. In addition to serving on the SLIS Alumni Board, she is a board member of the Digital Commonwealth, NELA's IT section and Franklin County Community Meals Program. Anna lives in Deerfield, MA with her husband and two children.

Marti Verso-Smallidge '11LS, Vice President/President-Elect

Marti Verso-Smallidge '11LS, Director at Large, is a graduate of the archives management and history dual degree program. While at Simmons, Marti served as the co-chair for the Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivists and worked in the Student Services Center. After graduation, she worked for EBSCO Publishing before deciding to leave the workforce to focus on raising her children.

Jean Scanlan '69LS, Immediate Past President

Jean Scanlan '69LS, Board President, is retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers after thirty-one years; her last position was Knowledge Manger for the US Investment Company Group. Jean served as the Business & Finance Division Chair in the Special Libraries Association, and the Division Cabinet Chair on the SLA Board of Directors. In 1995, she was named a Fellow of Special Libraries Association. She also published a book, Business Online Database, in addition to several articles for the periodical Database.

Kimberly Borrelli '09LS, Secretary

Kimberly Borrelli '09LS, Secretary, is a senior research analyst with Boston University's Development and Alumni Relations. Kim has served on the SLIS alumni board since 2013, first as treasurer and more recently as secretary, where she is responsible for managing and tracking board correspondence and planning.

Anastasia Collins '16LS, Director at Large

Anastasia Collins '16LS, Director at Large, is the Social Work Liaison Librarian at the Simmons Library and a children's literature scholar. She is an ALA Spectrum alum, a member of the Beta Phi Mu International LIS Honor Society, and was the recipient of the 2016 Children's Literature Department Chair's Recognition, which celebrates academic achievement and professional engagement in children's and young adult literature.

Glynys Thomas '89LS, Director at Large

Glynys Thomas '89LS is Assistant Director, Knowledge Management at EY-Parthenon, a strategy consultancy of Ernst & Young, LLC. Glynys has worked for nearly 20 years in professional services firms in knowledge management roles, providing content and information support to global marketing, business development and client project execution efforts. She leads the design and implementation of global knowledge strategies and technologies. Glynys co-founded a local chapter of a national knowledge managers' organization that meets regularly to workshop issues that arise for knowledge practitioners across all types of organizations.

Alex Lent, '11LS, Director at Large

Alex Lent, '11LS, Director at Large, is Director of the Millis Public Library, President of the Massachusetts Library Association, and Founder and Coordinator of the Library Directors Group (librarydirectors.org), a peer-learning group for library directors.

Jane Sánchez '76LS, Director at Large

Jane Sánchez '76LS is the 25th Law Librarian of Congress. She manages the operation and policy administration of the Law Library of Congress, the world's largest collection of legal materials.She assumed the position of Law Librarian on February 6, 2017. Prior to the Law Library, Sánchez had been Chief of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Library since October 2014. Sánchez also served as a business unit Managing Director at the U.S. Government Publishing Office; as an associate director of Justice Libraries, Justice Management Division, U.S.Department of Justice; as departmental head of History & Culture Libraries at the Smithsonian Institution Libraries; and as an acquisitions manager for electronic databases at BNA, Inc., a legal publisher, in addition to library work at Harvard and the University of New Mexico. She has received numerous awards over the course of her career, including from the U.S. Department of Energy for sustained superior service and from the Justice Management Division and the Smithsonian Institution for workflow improvements.
