President – Frances Harrell ’13LS

As a Preservation Specialist at NEDCC, Frances provides preservation assistance to small and medium-sized cultural heritage institutions through assessments, consulting, education, and outreach. She serves as Co-Chair of the Digital Preservation Interest Group for ALA ALCTS Preservation and Reformatting Section and is a member of the Moving Image and Recorded Sound Roundtable for New England Archivists. She also represents NEDCC on the COSTEP MA (Coordinated Statewide Emergency Preparedness in Massachusetts) Executive Committee. She received an MLIS from Simmons College SLIS and a BA in English Literature from the University of Florida, and has worked in both development and collections management.

Vice President – Meaghan O'Conner ’09LS

Meaghan provides strategic oversight for library programming and partnerships across all 26 DCPL locations. This includes projects ranging from planning a new DCPL branch within the DC Jail to implementing a Knight Foundation Prototype project exploring Open211 referral systems. Prior to joining DCPL, Meaghan worked for IREX managing Gates Foundation-funded access to information / library development programs in Eastern Europe. Meaghan received her MLS from Simmons College and was selected as part of the 2008 American Library Association Emerging Leaders program and the 2015 PLA Leadership Academy.

Treasurer – Kimberly Giedd ’09LS

Since 2011, Kim has been performing prospect research for Boston University's Development and Alumni Relations. She has worked in prospect research since 2009, first as an intern at Harvard Medical School's Office of Resource Development, then as a full-time researcher for Combined Jewish Philanthropies. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in the legal field.

Bart is the reference and instruction librarian and curator of archives at Peirce College in Philadelphia. Aside from his work at Peirce, Bart contributes articles on history and architecture for Hidden City Philadelphia, and is pursuing a master’s degree in history from The University of Nebraska.  Prior to becoming a librarian, Bart taught courses on American History and Culture for the University Prep program at EF International School in Boston. He lives in West Philadelphia.

Jean was the Reader Services Librarian at Babson College for three years, the Business Reference Librarian at UMass Amherst for three years and the Knowledge Manager for the Investment Company Global Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers for 31 years.  She has been a member of SLA since 1975, serving as Chair of the Business and Finance Division and on the SLA Board of Directors.

Director at Large – Stacie Parillo ’11LS

Stacie is digital producer at the Providence Public Library. Previous to the PPL, Stacie was head of collections and digital initiatives manager at the Newport Historical Society in Newport, RI, where she worked to create accessibility for a mostly hidden collection. Stacie is also a founding member of Newportal, an online collaborative collections discovery tool that will unite the collections of five Newport-based cultural institutions.She has also served as Digital Archivist for the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities where she retrieved 40 years of granting projects from a cobwebbed basement and is assisting the Council in making them accessible online. As a SLIS student at Simmons, Stacie served as the Fellow for Dean's Initiatives. She also holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Suffolk University.
