President – Lisa J.B. Peterson ’03

Lisa J.B. Peterson is founder and President, Lantern Financial, LLC. Peterson's innovative financial planning, financial literacy, and wellness work with professionals, college students, employers, and small business owners has been featured in the New York Times, Money Magazine, Forbes, USNews & World Report, the Boston Globe, NPR's "Marketplace Money," WBUR's "Radio Boston," the Chicago Tribune, and other national print and online publications and television and radio programs. Peterson has been invited to speak at conferences and facilitate seminars and workshops nationwide, including at Simmons, where she runs the financial empowerment and literacy program required of all graduating seniors. In addition, she takes pride in the success and popularity of the company's internship program, through which she has mentored more than 30 Simmons students over the past seven years. She was recognized for her work with the 2009 Simmons College Recent Alumna Achievement Award.

Vice President – Lynne Devnew ’67

Lynne Devnew is currently teaching for the School of Advanced Studies, University of Phoenix. Her focus is on leadership and she teaches in the school’s doctoral program. As a research fellow, her current research is focused on women’s influence and power relating to corporate board decision-making. She participates in research discussions offered by Simmons’s Center for Gender in Organizations.

Treasurer – Barbara Campbell Harvey ’75

Barbara is "somewhat" retired and living in Portland, Maine. She left her position at Bowdoin College library in 2015 where she worked for 18 years, played in the Concert Band and mentored the Men's Ice Hockey team. She is now serving as the Secretary of the Maine Republican Party. Barbara raised her family (Abby Mackenzie, Simmons 2011 MS ED and Ed.S Adaptive Technology) in Boothbay Harbor while serving as the Head Librarian at Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and where she owned her own business. In addition to library work, Barbara has served as the Treasurer of First Radio Parish Church of America (7 years) and the Maine Federation of Republican Women (6 years); served as Secretary/Treasurer to the Maine Education Loan Association (6 years); volunteered on many campaigns; played percussion in the Boothbay Harbor Alumni/Friend Marching Band; was Co-Chair of the Harold B. Clifford Playground; and currently serves on numerous Boards including the Friends of the Blaine House; the Friends of Lincoln Park; LearningWorks; and most recently, Simmons College Alumnae Association Executive Committee.

Honorary Secretary – Peggy Saslow ’44
Now retired, Peggy formerly worked as a registered dietitian at the Newark Medical Center and was a member of the American Dietetic Association. She also taught home economics at New Milford High School for 20 years. She is president of her class, president of the Northern N.J. Simmons Club, and Alumnae Admissions Coordinator for Northern New Jersey. She has received the Alumnae Achievement Award and the Mary Logan Canavan Planned Giving Award.

Director of Athletics – Annie Thompson ’11

Annie Thompson has become a West Coast transplant in Boston where she is located. She received her undergraduate degree in international relations from Simmons in 2011. Emerson College was her next stop where she received her master of arts in integrated marketing communications in 2013. Her interest in marketing began while working at Simmons, and she has returned to Simmons as the Social Media Lead & Digital Content Specialist for the Office of Online Communication & Design. As a former collegiate athlete on the Simmons softball team, she serves on the Board as the Director of Athletics and a social media consultant.

Director of Awards – Madeleine Jeune ’10
Madeleine is an entrepreneur, writer, and optimist who believes in the goodness to humanity. She conducts her philanthropic work in several countries. She served on the CSA Executive Board of the Pine Hill Elementary School in the Dover-Sherborn system, and recently joined the Salvation Army Kroc Center Member Steering Committee.
Director of Board Nominations & Recruitment – Sarah McCue ’09
Sarah McCue is a native of the New Hampshire seacoast. She works at one of Wall Street’s biggest firms as a wealth advisor with special focus on empowering women. Her love of finance was cultivated during her time at Simmons as an economics major. In 2007, she spent a year abroad at The London School of Economics and returned to graduate from Simmons in 2009 with a B.A. She started as an associate at her current firm in 2009 and has since become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. She currently serves as co-chair of the Boston London School of Economics Alumni Association and a program committee volunteer at The College Club of Boston. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys running, traveling, and cooking. She resides in Boston’s Historic North End.

Director of Communications - Laurel Egan Kenny MCM '94, '98GS, '02SM

Laurel Egan Kenny, MS, MBA, is Founder and President of Turningpoint Communications, a marketing communications and training firm focused on education, promotion and thought leadership through marketing and sales communications, strategic events, media and communities service. Laurel recently served for four years as Chief Operating Officer of the South Shore (Massachusetts) Chamber of Commerce, where she led the organization’s Management, Marketing and Membership growth, engagement and retention for one of the country’s largest, top 1% accredited and most respected regional Chambers of Commerce. Laurel founded Turningpoint in 2007 after 15 years building and leading marketing and sales teams for two large, global Fortune 100 financial services firms in wealth and treasury management servicing divisions. Laurel was a founding member of a corporate entrepreneurial wealth management firm where she helped grow assets under administration from $0 to $150 Billion. She brings her entrepreneurial and leadership experience to her clients. 

Laurel currently serves on the Board of Directors for South Shore Young Professionals, Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Association for Financial Professionals and the Simmons College Alumnae Association. Laurel presents nationally on the topics of Marketing, Social Media, Thought Leadership.  

Laurel holds an MBA, MS in Communications Management and BA, all from Simmons College, Boston.  She lives south of Boston Massachusetts with her husband Jay and three young children.

Director of Diversity – Theresa Brewer ’78

Theresa Brewer is currently the Manager of Workforce Development and the Moving Ahead Program at Saint Francis House.  Prior to this, she was the Director of Grants-Program Development at Roxbury Community College, where she had responsibility for developing programs and securing funding for projects that supported student success.  In this role, she worked with students, faculty, staff, college leadership, other higher education institutions and community partners.  She also has a wealth of affordable housing and community development experience, having worked at the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) as the Director of Community Services Programs and Management Consultant with NeighborWorks America. She has volunteered for several years with the Simmons Scott/Ross Center for Community Service as a “Promising Pal” and most recently, a participant in Alumnae Global Service Day. Theresa has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Simmons and a Master’s degree in City Planning from MIT.

Immediate Past President - Enna Jimenez ’91, ’06SM

Enna Jimenez manages the quality assurance function across all IT teams and is responsible for centralized manual testing and automation, test data management, and the performance teams that service all of Wellington Management’s departments. Enna was the co-chair of Conexiones, the Latino Business Network Group during 2012 and 2013. She was the co-chair of the IT Diversity Committee during 2011-12. She sits on the IT Diversity Planning Committee. Enna was Team Leader on the GRC Foundation in 2013 and a participant since 2010. She is a 2012 graduate from The Partnership Fellows Leadership program. She is an active member of ALPFA, NSHMBA and IT Latino Networking group, as well as a mentor in the ALPFA Cafecitos Network. Jimenez was recognized as Manager of the Year by the Year UP Organization in 2014.
