The recommended grade-point average (GPA) is at least a 2.8 for transfer students. Up to 80 semester hours of credit may be transferred for courses passed with a grade of C or better at an accredited institution. In addition, all transfer students must submit the following:

  • Application Form (PDF)
  • $35 Application Fee
  • High School Transcript(s)
  • College Transcript(s)
  • Standardized Test Scores
  • College Essay
  • Essay – Reasons for Transfer (one page)
  • College Recommendations (Adviser and Faculty)
  • Mid-term Grade Report
  • Interview – strongly recommended

Deadlines

Simmons College reviews applications on a continual basis. If for any reason you feel you cannot meet the application deadline, but still wish to apply, please contact us.

Fall Semester
Deadline: April 1
Notification Date: Rolling
Deposit Date: two weeks after notification
Spring Semester
Deadline: December 1
Notification Date: Rolling
Deposit Date: two weeks after notification
