» Requirements and Deadlines

All international students need an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) Form I-20 in order to obtain an F-1 student visa to study in the United States. Simmons College provides assistance in this process. You must submit a completed Declaration of Finances Form in order to be authorized to receive a Form I-20. International students are responsible for maintaining legal status while living in the United States.

Standardized Test Scores and TOEFL/ELPT

If English is not your native language, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum TOEFL score of 560 (220 computer-based) is required. For students studying in United States high schools, we also accept the SAT II: ELPT (English Language Proficiency Test) in place of the TOEFL.

Please see the Simmons International Student Application for any additional requirements.

Deadlines for International Students

fall semester: Feb 1
spring semester: Nov 15

If you cannot meet an application deadline, please contact the Undergraduate Admission Office to discuss your options. Exceptions to the admission schedule are made.
