There are two ways international first-year and transfer students can apply to Simmons. Submit an online application, or download and mail a print application. International students for whom English is not a first language are required to submit official test results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); the College looks for a minimum score of 560 (220 computer-based). SAT I or ELPT test scores are required for native English speakers.

The admission committee will review your application to learn not only what you have accomplished, but also who you are. Some of the things we take into consideration include:

• academic record
• letters of recommendation
• college essays
• test scores (TOEFL, ELPT, SAT 1, or ACT)
• co-curricular activities

Common Application

Simmons participates in the Common Application network, which allows students to apply to multiple schools with just one application. You can mail in your Common Application, or use the online Common Application. Both the online version and the downloadable PDF can be accessed via the Common Application's website. (An additional application supplement* is also required.)

Universal College Application

Simmons also accepts the Universal College Application, an online admissions application consortium for college-bound students. It allows students to apply to multiple schools with one application. (An additional application supplement* is also required.)
