Degree Candidate Requirements
- Application Form - Complete the application form
as fully as possible and return it to the Dix Scholars Office of
Admission by the appropriate deadline (see below).
- $55 Application Fee - A non-refundable $55 application
fee must be submitted along with your application form. Checks should
be payable to Simmons College. (Note: If you apply
online using the Simmons Application, this fee will be waived.)
- Official Transcripts - Simmons requires official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. High school transcripts and GEDs are required for first-degree candidates only. Official transcripts should be sent directly by the institutions to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
- Recommendations - Two recommendations are required
of applicants.
- SAT Scores - SAT scores are required of applicants to the Nursing
Program only. This requirement is waived for candidates who already hold a baccalaureate degree.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score
- Official TOEFL scores are required if English is not your native
language. A minimum TOEFL score of 560 (written), 220 (computer)
is required for admission. Scores should be sent from the testing
agency directly to Dix Scholars Office of Undergraduate Admission.
Non-Degree Student Requirements

Deadlines
Simmons College reviews applications on a continual basis. If for any
reason you feel you cannot meet the application deadline, but still wish
to apply, please contact us.

Dix Non-Degree (non matriculating students)
Deadlines are the same for non-degree students regular Dix students (see above.)
Tuition Deposit
Once you are admitted, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required and allows you to
register early for classes. This deposit is your first payment toward tuition. If you are
interested in on-campus housing, an additional $250 deposit and a housing application is
required.
