Simmons Scholar Overnight

The Simmons Scholar Overnight on Friday, Feb. 16th - Saturday, Feb. 17th is an invitation-only event for accepted students who have exhibited academic excellence during high school. This exclusive event provides a personalized glimpse into the Simmons experience. 

You’ll stay overnight with a current student, enjoy dinner at Fenway Park, explore the city of Boston, learn about campus resources, and much more. To ensure student and families can join us for the event, some travel expenses are eligible for reimbursement.

Agenda of Events

Friday Evening

Students and their families will be transported from Simmons University to Fenway Park for a dinner reception hosted by Provost Katie Conboy. Guests will spend the evening exploring Fenway Park and mingling with Simmons faculty and staff. After dinner, students will be transported back to the Residence Campus where they will join their hosts and spend the night on campus.
*Attire for this event is semi-formal.


Students will eat breakfast with their hosts in Bartol Dining Hall before joining their families and other admitted students on the Academic Campus for our Accepted Students Day. You will have the opportunity to sit in on mock classes, learn more about academic and campus resources, speak with financial aid officers, and attend current student and parent panels. 

Travel Assistance:

BostonSimmons Scholar Overnight attendees who live outside of the New England area are eligible for reimbursement of expenses related to traveling to Simmons for the event. Travel arrangements must be approved by the Office of Undergraduate Admission in advance. Simmons will fully reimburse travel for students traveling from outside of the New England area and will cover up to $200 for one adult family member to travel with each student. Once you complete the registration process, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to request travel approval.

Family Accommodations:

Participating students will stay with a current student host in a dorm room on Friday night. We have a limited number of rooms on hold for accompanying family members who need overnight accommodations:
