Arrange a Visit

How can you tell if Simmons is the right school? Visit! You'll be able to meet faculty and students, learn more about Simmons programs, check out the campus and activities, and get admission and financial aid information. You'll also have an opportunity to take a guided campus tour. Read about your options below and then schedule an individual visit.

Transfer and Adult students: we will be offering walk-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm throughout the summer (June 19-August 2nd; no walk-in hours July 3 or July 5). You can also register for one of our information sessions designed just for you.

Campus Tour and Information Session Schedule

We provide information sessions and tours on the following dates and times. Please register before coming for your visit and to let us know if you would like to take advantage of any other opportunities while you are on campus.

10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

*Please Note: The college will be closed July 4-6 in celebration of the Independence Day holiday.*

Schedule an Individual Visit

If you can't make it to one of our admission events or you just want a more personalized look at Simmons, we can create a customized visit for you. Just let us know the dates you would like to visit and we'll coordinate an unforgettable program for you.

Here are some of the activities that can be arranged for your visit:

The Campus Tour and Information Session

Start with a general information session to learn more about Simmons, the admission process, and financing your education. Then head out on a tour of the Simmons campus led by a current student. Get your questions answered about everything from academic demands and social activities, to what it's like to attend a women's-centered college or intern with a professional organization. Tours start at the admission office in the Main College Building and include the College Center, Beatley Library, the residence halls, Bartol Dining Hall, and the Holmes Sports Center. We do not show nursing labs on our daily tours.

The College Interview

While Simmons doesn't require an interview for admission, we do encourage you to schedule one. It's the best way for you to get to know Simmons, and for us to get to know you.

Transfer or Dix Scholar Individual Information Session

This one-on-one information session is a great way for you to get your individual questions answered and for us to get to know you. We encourage you to attend a general information session for transfer and/or Dix Scholars first to get a broad overview of Simmons and the application process.

Financial Aid Appointment

Financial aid is an important component in the college decision-making process for many prospective students. You can meet with one of our financial aid counselors to learn more about financial aid at Simmons. Let us know if you would like us to arrange a meeting with a Student Financial Services counselor during your visit.

Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities

Want to row on the crew team? Sing with the Simmons Sirens? Participate in community service projects? We can arrange for you to meet with athletics coaches, program directors, and students who are involved in activities that interest you if they are available on the day of your visit.

Classroom and Faculty Visits

Academic life is taken seriously at Simmons. The best way to get a sense for it is to sit in on a class. See what it's like to study in a college where women are expected and encouraged to voice their opinions. Tell us what subjects interest you and we'll arrange for you to attend a class. If you wish, we'll also set up a personal meeting with a faculty member, so you can discuss your intended area of study and learn about programs at Simmons. **Please request at least 2 weeks before your preferred visit date.**

Overnight Stays

Have you been wondering what it's like to live in a residence hall? How you'll manage your new time schedule? If there's a social life at a women's-centered college? An overnight stay will give you a chance to experience college life firsthand and get answers that only another student can give. Current high school seniors can request an overnight visit for Monday-Thursday nights. **Please request at least 2 weeks before your preferred visit date.**
