Apply for Financial Aid
We understand that the idea of tackling the process of financing a degree can be a little daunting and confusing, but if you follow these steps we guarantee everything will make sense!
Your first step to receiving financial aid is applying for admission. Learn more about the process for undergraduate and graduate students.
Please note that the timeline differs slightly for Online Students and the steps are quite different for International Students.
If you are neither an International Student, nor an Online Student, please proceed to Step 1: "Getting Started"
Once you have submitted your application to the college, you will need to complete your FAFSA online and submit your Student Information Form to our office. We will use this information to create your financial aid award for the year. Even if you do not think you qualify for any need-based aid, please submit these application requirements anyway. We won't know for sure unless you try! Learn more.
Depending on when you submit your information to our office, it may take some time before you receive your award letter. You'll want to use this time to research your various options for funding your Simmons education and estimate your costs for the year. See more information on Simmons' costs and financial aid options.
At this point, you should have received both your financial aid award letter and your first bill. You can use this information to finalize how much you will need in order to cover your costs for the year. Learn how to calculate your yearly costs.
You're almost there! Just a few more things to do and you'll be ready for the year. These steps include signing your loan documents and finalizing your registration. Get more information - including our helpful check list to make sure you've covered all your bases!
