Although "all politics are local," as Tip O'Neill famously said, American elections have significant global consequences. Far beyond our borders, the world is watching the American election with fascination and concern. This lecture will be an impartial look at the ramifications of your vote abroad: the international context of the election, the worldview of the two parties, and the foreign policy differences between the candidates.</P>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[June 23, 2008<br /><br /><P>An event hosted by the Lee Family Foundation Intern Fellowship Program on April 8th 2008 in the Kotzen Room on Simmons' Campus. Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray spoke on Leadership and Gender in Massachusetts State Politics. This event was open to the public and followed by a private reception attended by Senate President Therese Murray, and other members of the Massachusetts Senate, alumna Barbara Lee, Barbara Lee Student Fellows and many important members of the Simmons community. </P>
