Majors & Minors

Major in Physics

The major in physics focuses on the theoretical framework of the discipline and emphasizes the properties and structure of materials.  Courses stress the applications of physics and provide students with important problem solving skills and laboratory and computer-related experience.  We emphasize student/faculty research and encourage even 1st and 2nd year students to participate.

An additional upper level mathematics or computer science course is also highly recommended.
