The diverse faculty of the Modern Languages department represents languages and cultures from around the world including Australia, Chile, China, France, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Perú, Spain, and Uruguay. Eight full-time professors, six senior lecturers, and eight part-time lecturers teach over 40 courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish language and culture each semester. The Modern Languages professors are dedicated to helping their students develop language skills and cultural understanding through innovative teaching practices. Their success is noted in the overwhelmingly positive evaluations that students complete at the end of each semester.
