Dr. Shirong Luo is assistant professor of philosophy at Simmons College. Previously he was a full-time visiting assistant professor at Mount Holyoke College, and a part-time instructor at University of Miami where he received his Ph.D. The courses he taught at Mount Holyoke College include comparative introduction to philosophy, classical Chinese philosophy, comparative ethics, Chinese philosophy & American pragmatism, and Chinese history. The courses he has taught here at Simmons are philosophy of religion, philosophy and the arts, world religions, ancient Greek philosophy, Asian philosophy, women and religion, philosophy through literature and films. His areas of research are comparative philosophy, Chinese philosophy, and feminist philosophy.
