Ellen Grabiner is an Assistant Professor in the Communications Department who brings her love of media and all things visual to her passion for creating environments where people learn. To her fine arts background Dr. Grabiner has added a scholarly twist, having recently completed her doctorate in Visual Culture. She is interested in interstices: Between art and philosophy, between high and low culture, between seeing and saying, between doing and undergoing. She currently teaches a required core course in Visual Communication, a course in Digital Imaging and she co-teaches the capstone course in the Communications Department, Studio Five.
