The product of a Physician and an artist, Burrows always assumed that she would find work which was creative and meaningful and which contributed to the world and left it a better place. Through a series of decisions, a focus on this goal and hard work, her professional life has taken a multi-step path towards this end. Burrows currently runs the Internship Program in the Communications Department and teaches another capstone class, Studio 5, at Simmons College in Boston.
The tension between process and Product has been a theme throughout the work she has chosen to do. Experiential learning has woven in and out of this theme. Through the Internship Program and Studio 5, she hopes to give students a solid base of experience, marketable skills and self-confidence which will propel them into the professional communications arena.
