The Boston Semester at Simmons
brings college students together from around the country to study
and live in the dynamic Boston environment. This
experience allows students to pursue 16 credits (four - 4 credit
courses) at Simmons College, integrating course work, internships,
and optional community service or service learning opportunities.
The Boston Semester
at Simmons is an exceptional learning experience that takes advantage
of Boston’s vast educational, political,
economic, and cultural resources. The program capitalizes on the
distinctive assets of Simmons College, including our fantastic location,
talented faculty, diverse course offerings, outstanding internships,
and renowned service learning opportunities. Our Scott/Ross Center
for Community Service is a nationally recognized model, and Simmons
was recently named as one of the top twenty colleges for community
service in the private college category.
Simmons College has educated women for independent careers and meaningful
lives since 1899. Simmons offers a rich undergraduate curriculum interwoven

The Boston Semester at Simmons, as well as most of our graduate programs,

The application deadline is November 1st for the Spring Semester and June 1st for the Fall Semester. Students
who have completed two semesters of study at a fully accredited, four-year
college and have a minimum 2.5 GPA are eligible to apply.
