The SOM is located at 300 The Fenway on the borders of Boston's lively Fenway neighborhood and the Longwood Medical Area. A new "green" 66,500-square-foot building, houses the Simmons School of Management, formerly located on Commonwealth Ave. From the use of sustainable and recyclable building materials, to highly efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and water fixtures, the new building is as environmentally responsible as it is eye-catching. The building is expected to use 34% less water and 38% less energy than similar buildings of the same size.
The new five-story building includes four state-of-the-art general-use classrooms, four School of Management-specific classrooms, an executive education conference room, and a "green" landscaped roof plaza.
Technology resources throughout our campus include high-speed and wireless Internet access, multimedia services, and an e-learning platform to supplement course work. Simmons's Beatley Library offers laptop loans, sophisticated online library services, and an "Ask Now" after-hours reference service. SOM students also may use the Simmons's centers for information technology, and academic support, as well as the health center, counseling services, and the athletic facilities at the Holmes Sports Center.
