Blue Hills Bank Pavilion
Simmons College Commencement is held at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion (formerly Bank of America Pavilion) at 290 Northern Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts.
From the North via I-93
Heading southbound on I-93 towards Boston, take Exit 23, Purchase St., and get into the left lane. Take the first left onto Seaport Boulevard, the Moakley Bridge. Follow Seaport Boulevard for approximately one mile. Upon passing the World Trade Center buildings, Seaport Boulevard becomes Northern Avenue. The Blue Hills Bank Pavilion will be approximately 1/3 mile ahead on the left.
From the South via I-93
Heading northbound on Interstate 93 towards Boston, take Exit 20, which will be immediately after Exit 18. Follow the signs to I-90 East. Take the first tunnel exit to South Boston. At the first set of lights at the top of the ramp, proceed straight onto East Service Road. At the next set of lights, take a right onto Seaport Boulevard. Seaport Boulevard becomes Northern Avenue.
Silver Line T: Take the MBTA subway, commuter rail, or bus to South Station and connect to the Silver Line Waterfront Line. Take the Silver Line to the Silver Line Way stop. Visit www.mbta.com for further information.
Degree candidates may utilize the complimentary shuttle from the Residence Campus to the Pavilion.
Because May 20th is a regular business day at the college, parking will not be available on campus.
- Accessibility Information
The Blue Hills Bank Pavilion is ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible. The Pavilion will have a few wheelchairs available for transport from car to seating only. Families with guests with mobility issues should drive to the front door of the Pavilion and a Simmons volunteer will be of assistance. - Security Measures at Venue
State and local police, Simmons Public Safety personnel and Blue Hills Bank Pavilion security personnel will be on-hand to assist with safety at the event, including inspection of bags and packages at all entrances.
We encourage attendees to avoid bringing over-sized bags of any kind if possible and not to leave any belongings unattended while at the Pavilion. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
